Another 100!
This time, it's sit ups. Daddy made a deal with G that when he can do 100 sit ups, he will earn $5. 10 sit ups and 10 push ups a day has been a part of our weekday routine for the past month or so. G started out not being able to do even one sit up by himself. Just a week or so ago, he was able to do 10 on his own, and by the end of last week he did 20. Today he told me he was going to do 100, and he blew me away when he actually DID IT! We were both so excited, and he got to call daddy on the phone to tell him the good news. It just goes to show that if you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything. Haven't I heard that somewhere before? :-)

Wow! Good job G! Going from 10 to 100 sit up so quickly is simply amazing.
I watched a 5 and 7 year old stay in a knuckle pushup position for 20 minutes the other day. They were trying to see who could go the longest and neither would give up. Their hands were an odd mixture of red and white, their faces were red, and they were both shedding tears of pain but they wouldn't give up. We made them quit after 20 minutes. It's amazing what kids can do if they really want to.
With all the lazy kids we see, it's refreshing to hear about kids with such determination and discipline!
