Sugar Crystals

Our science project for this week is growing sugar crystals. Here is our jar of sugar solution with a string hanging down into it for the crystals to grow on.

And here are our sugar crystals 2 days later:

Ah, that was one of the science experiments that we didn't get to last year. If you get a chance, you should try growing a salt cystal garden. They are easy to grow and grow quickly. Alum crystals grow overnight and large and also also easy to grow. I blogged about them on my blog, along with giving a website where I got the directions.
